Fireplace Installer (Helper)

OVERVIEW
Starting wage is based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. Construction Resources offers additional competitive and non-financial benefits.

The Assistant Fireplace Installer is responsible for learning all aspects of installing a fireplace. This includes framing, venting, masonry, and mantels. This is an extremely fast-paced role and requires daily physical demand.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:

  • Install fireplaces and related components in residential and commercial settings.
  • Measure and cut concrete board if needed for proper installation.
  • Comfortable working off ladder and roof to install venting.
  • Lifting heavy objects (100 lbs. and up) with help and transporting up and down ladders/stairs.
  • Ensure proper ventilation and safety measures are in place.
  • Collaborate with salesperson, builder, or homeowner if issues arise with job.
  • Inspect completed installations for quality and adherence to safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during installation appointment.
  • Assist in warehouse related tasks when necessary.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years’ experience working in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of power tools and safety guidelines.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Must not be afraid of heights.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fireplace, electrical, masonry, or construction experience.
  • Knowledge of gas fireplaces and chimney services.
  • NFI Certification.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in roofing or construction industry.

WORK LOCATION
Onsite – In order to fulfill responsibilities of the Assistant Fireplace Installer position, this job is required to work in a specific Construction Resources manufacturing, production, client, or office environment. In particular, Fireplace Installers will spend the majority of their time traveling to our customers’ job sites in a company provided truck.
