Design Center Manager

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Design Center Manager to lead our design center team, ensuring an unparalleled experience for our discerning clientele.

The Design Center Manager reports to the VP of Showrooms and will be the cornerstone of our showroom’s success, responsible for its financial performance, operational excellence, and the cultivation of a world-class client experience. The Design Center manager will lead and inspire a talented sales team, driving them to achieve and surpass company goals while ensuring the showroom exemplifies our brand’s luxury and sophistication. To successfully oversee the operations of their assigned design center location, the Design Center Manager will have exceptional leadership skills and a passion for providing an extraordinary customer experience. Leaders having broad knowledge across Kohler, Sub Zero/Wolf, or Cambria product lines are HIGHLY preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and optimize the showroom’s financial performance, including setting and adhering to a budget and sales goals. 
  • Collaborate with Sales Leadership to define and execute strategic goals for showroom growth and market positioning. 
  • Seek out and build relationships with the architectural, design and builder communities.
  • Set targeted strategy for prospecting new business and converting existing.
  • Join and be active in design and trade associations and groups comprised of HNWIs.
  • Develop and implement plans to enhance the showroom’s role as a leader in the high-end building materials sector. 
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team, fostering an environment of growth, achievement, and excellence. 
  • Drive revenue and profitability by coaching the team in advanced selling techniques, marketing strategies, and new business development. 
  • Ensure that all activities align with company objectives and exceed client expectations. 
  • Cultivate and enhance relationships with architects, designers, and key clients to drive showroom traffic and increase sales. 
  • Deliver an exceptional, unparalleled experience to all clients, creating an inviting, sophisticated, and memorable environment. 
  • Empower team members to resolve client issues swiftly and effectively, ensuring outstanding service and follow-through. 
  • Establish and uphold operational processes that reflect the brand’s prestigious image and commitment to excellence. 
  • Partner with Marketing to proactively promote products, services, and events. 
  • Maintain the showroom’s visual and operational standards, ensuring it remains a beacon of luxury and design innovation. 
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings, and market dynamics to inform strategic decisions and enhance showroom performance. 
  • Regularly review and report on product range and market feedback to internal teams to drive continuous improvement. 
  • Facilitate regular one-on-one meetings with team members to guide their account and CRM activities, aligning marketing efforts with potential opportunities. 
  • Support showroom associates in project management and client interactions, ensuring all client engagements are handled with the utmost professionalism. 
  • Other duties as assigned to support showroom growth and market share expansion. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Interior Design, or related field.
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in showroom or retail management within the luxury building materials or high-end interior design industry. 
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets, managing financials, and leading a team to success. 
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a keen understanding of luxury client expectations. 
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic and results-oriented mindset. 
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, finishes, and design principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans and initiatives.
  • Proficiency in design software and project management tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business Marketing, Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
  • 7 to 10 years’ experience managing design centers, showrooms, or similar facilities.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, 3D modeling software, or related interior design software.
  • Knowledge of current design trends, styles, and best practices.

WORK LOCATION
Onsite – In order to fulfill responsibilities of the Design Center Manager position, this job is required to work in a specific Construction Resources manufacturing, production, or office environment.
