Dave's Hot Chicken is a rapidly expanding new concept serving Nashville Style Hot Chicken. As a locally owned franchise we are excited to be introducing this extremely successful concept to Michigan.  Our 7th location is opening this spring. Growth potential is unlimited as we expand to 22 locations throughout Michigan within the next 5 - 6 years.

 

Locations: Dearborn, Howell, Troy, Warren, Southfield and East Lansing

 

Starting Wage: $16.00 per hour + Tips (est. $1.50 hour)*

   *Tips are based on historical data. These are not guaranteed, they may vary and are in addition to the hourly wage.

 

Full-Time and/or Part-Time available.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Line Cook is responsible for controlling the food flow and for following our cooking processes that set our chicken apart from our competitors.

EXPECTATIONS

The Line Cook will work productively in a fast-paced environment, needs to be "detailed oriented", can multi-task and stay calm and collected when times are stressful. Need to follow all health & safety/security procedures. Be reliable and fast-moving while following processes.

DUTIES of a LINE COOK
  • Follow the steps outlined in the DHC Training Program to learn new skills, duties, and responsibilities
  • Abide by the rules and directiion given by the Restaurant Managment Team
  • Communicate to their immediate supervisor when additional training, guidance, and practice is needed
  • Understand how each job responsibility impacts Guests, Team, and overall Restaurant Operatins success
  • Work together with other Teammates to prep items on the DHC menu while following company recipes, safety procedures, and sanitary requirements
  • Communicate effectively with Team Members and Management to resolve any interpersonal issues as needed
  • Use specific kitchen machinery and equipment such as fryers, warmers, etc.
  • Ensure restaurant cleanliness daily by cleaning prep tables, sweeping and mopping floors, daily cleaning tasks, washing/sanitizing/disinfecting kitchen utensils
  • Maintain a neat and tidy appearance by wearing a uniform and adhering to the DHC Uniform Policy
MUST HAVES
  • Current student or high school diploma or GED preferred
  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, opening and closing shifts
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to bend and stoop
  • Ability to lift 50 - 75 lbs. comfortably
  • Be able to work in close quarters and around heat
  • Positive attitude while performing all duties
  • Have a commitment to Guest satisfaction. Looks at Restaurant Operations from a Guest's point of view
  • Effective communicator with Teammates and the Restaurant Management Team
  • Excellant time management skils, performance-oriented and performance driven; understand perforamnce expectations and are aware of performance results
  • Have reliable transportation to get to work
  • Have a telephone or other reliable methid of communicating with the Restaurant Management Team and Teammates
