Dunkin Shift Supervisor

Position Title: Shift Supervisor

Reports To: Restaurant Manager

 

Overview

Shift Leaders are generally responsible for coaching Dunkin’ Restaurant Team Members throughout their shift to execute operational Brand standards and deliver great guest service. They set goals, provide job assignments, and motivate others providing timely feedback.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manages entire shift without the assistance of a manager on duty
  • Completes line checks as appropriate during shifts
  • Enters invoices and prepares orders for supplies and food for GM approval
  • Processes manager refunds, comps and discounts
  • Maintains responsibility for keys to the building
  • Works 30+ hours per week as a supervisor
  • Prepares schedules and ensures adequate team member coverage for shifts
  • Trains and coaches team members.
  • Support the Restaurant Management in meeting operational goals and execution
  • Ensure Brand standards are met during shift including preparation of food/drinks
  • Communicate shift priorities, goals and results to restaurant team members
  • Coach restaurant team members as needed throughout a shift providing timely, constructive and clear feedback
  • Support the training of restaurant team members as needed
  • Perform oversight of franchisee safety, security and profitability policies/processes throughout a shift
  • Communicate clearly with the next Shift Leader/Manager to help prepare for shift
  • Ensure Food Safety standards are met
  • Manage Inventory throughout the shift
  • Provide great guest service and coaches restaurant team members to do the same
  • Follow cash handling procedures
  • Follow Brand standards, recipes and systems
  • Follow food safety standards
  • Prepare food and beverages
  • Assemble and package orders and serve to guests
  • Understand restaurant menu including limited time offers and promotions and be able to answer guest questions
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation
  • Clean equipment and guest areas
  • Stocking items such as cups, lids, etc at workstation
  • Take orders at the Point of Sale system and handle payments (if applicable)
  • Follow speed of service standards
  • Serve and communicate with guests
  • Maintain a guest focused culture in the restaurant
  • Communicate effectively with managers and coworkers
  • Organize and maintain stock room and refrigerated areas

Education/Experience:

  • Shift leader experience in a restaurant, retail or hospitality setting preferred
  • Works well with others in a fast-paced team environment
  • On time, demonstrates honesty and a positive attitude
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to change
  • Guest focused
  • Ability to assist with training
  • Problem solving
  • Motivating others

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

  • Standing on feet
  • Repetitive motion including bending, stooping and reaching
  • Lifting objects, ice, products, boxes up to 20 lbs
  • Wearing a headset
  • Working in a small space
  • Variable work including days, nights and/or weekends
  • Fast paced environment
