Cadence International SkillBridge Internship

Global

For separating or retiring active-duty service members (US Military) only. Unpaid Internship

Purpose:

Cadence International SkillBridge Internships are designed to equip United States military personnel with the skills necessary to successfully engage in full-time ministry through discipleship, training in ministry strategies, and the development of practical ministry skills. Our mission is to share the gospel and our lives with the military community.

Areas of Emphasis:  Adult, Youth, Children’s Ministry, and Cadence Headquarters - related ministries.

Hours:  40 hours per week

Internship Opportunities are available in the following ministry specific focus areas:

CAM: Cadence Adult Ministry (CAM) invests in military communities through relationships and programs designed to strengthen and nurture each individual’s personal relationship with Jesus. CAM does this through hospitality, Bible studies, one-on-one discipleship, excursions, and various activities designed to foster a healthy Christ-centered community.

CSM: Cadence Student Ministry (CSM) focuses on students grades 6–12 in military communities through relationships and age-appropriate programs designed to develop, strengthen, and nurture their personal relationship with Jesus.

CCM: Cadence Children’s Ministry (CCM) focuses on children grades K–5 in military communities through relationships and age-appropriate programs designed to develop, strengthen, and nurture their personal relationship with Jesus.

Headquarters: Headquarters Ministry opportunities include department-specific or interdepartmental internships in the professional and administrative disciplines. These positions provide administrative oversight and support of our vocational ministries to the military. Ministry opportunities are available in the following areas: accounting, public relations, finance, communications, office management, building operations, and human resources. Tasks will vary depending on the administrative function and department.

Duties and Responsibilities

While interning with Cadence International, duties and responsibilities may include planning and conducting regular ministry programs, mentoring Christians as they deepen their faith in Jesus, practicing hospitality, training volunteers, building relationships with service members and their families, and supporting chapel communities.

For Headquarters Ministry, responsibilities will vary depending on the department.

While serving alongside Cadence Staff, we invite you to embrace the learning experience with humility and curiosity. SkillBridge Interns should have a desire to learn, grow and ask questions throughout the internship.
