Cadence International is a support-based mission. All appointed missionaries are required to raise their individual support before they are released to the field.
Purpose:
Carry on established ministry in our hospitality houses around the world on a temporary, fill-in basis during a full-time missionary’s Home Assignment, according to the mission of Cadence.
Hours: 30+ hours per week during intermittent assignments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pastoral care of military personnel and their families.
- Spiritual community.
- Spiritual encouragement.
- Spiritual guidance.
- General hospitality.
- Menu planning for large gatherings.
- Purchasing and preparing food.
- Hosting special events as needed (holidays, parties, celebrations within the community).
- Teaching Bible studies.
- Maintaining contact with chaplains, military personnel, and dependents in the community.
- General maintenance and upkeep of the facility.
- Yard work.
- Set up and tear down for events (tables, chairs, furniture, etc.).
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Born again, mature Christian with an affinity for the mission and work of Cadence International.
- Because of the distinctly Christian emphasis of Cadence’s mission work, willing to sign and comply with Cadence International’s Code of Christian Conduct.
- Demonstrated spiritual, emotional, marital (if applicable), and financial health.
- Minimum of five years of experience in demonstrating effective leadership and management skills.
- Availability to take periodic assignments that are 1 -12 months in duration.
- Must abide with policies in employee and missionary handbook.
- Specific Skills:
- Able to handle administrative and financial tasks required by Cadence.
- Ability to graciously re-prioritize workload as demands change throughout the day. Flexibility to meet the demands of a dynamic work environment.
- Experience organizing and planning large group events.
- Ability to effectively manage an entertaining household – general household cleaning, maintenance, purchasing of provisions, and yard upkeep.
- Knowledge of standard business written communications. Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in general computer skills: Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Ability and willingness to learn and become proficient in software applications used by Cadence.

- Communication skills, including conflict resolution.
- Demonstrated planning and organizing skills.
- Willingness to embrace and maintain a ministry that reflects the Cadenec Road.
- Heart for reaching the military and the world reflected through personal serving of others and sharing of resources.
- Able to develop and teach Bible studies.
- Must be computer literate and experienced in all Microsoft Office applications.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Cadence International is an evangelical mission agency dedicated to reaching the military communities of the United States and the world with the Good News of Jesus Christ. The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, climb stairs, talk, listen, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
