General Purpose of the Job:
The Host presents a positive first impression of excellent service and high standards. The Host is responsible for opening the doors to greet guests and welcome them into the restaurant. They are also responsible for informing guests of wait times, monitoring the wait list, seating guests and saying goodbye to guests as they leave. At all times, the Host is responsible for being attentive to guests needs, making them feel welcome, comfortable, and important. The Host reports to the Assistant and General Manager(s).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of a Host include, but are not limited to:
- Communicates with management team on any guest related situation.
- Perform opening, side work and closing duties, as required.
- Maintain clean service areas.
- Greet incoming and departing guests with a smile and eye contact.
- Manage the flow of guests into the dining room and bar area.
- Provide accurate wait times to incoming guests, if appropriate.
- Help team members by setting and bussing and resetting tables.
Requirements:
- Strong verbal communication
- Excellent customer service skills
- Teamwork oriented, fun, energetic, friendly and passionate
- TABC and Food Handlers certificates

- Walks and stands during entire shift.
- Continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop and wipe.
- Remain stationary for long periods of time.
- Frequent washing of hands.
- Be Able to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Hazards may include, but are not limited to, slipping and tripping.
- Ability to climb up and down stairs repeatedly during the shift
