POSITION SUMMARY
The Ascend Prime Steak & Sushi (Ascend) Server is a multi-faceted position. This position is responsible for assisting the Captain in the smooth operations of the Ascend Dining Room, including but not limited to: maintaining superior customer service standards, cleaning, ordering, serving food and beverages, and any and all other tasks as needed in accordance with the Companies standards and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Performs all duties and responsibilities to achieve overall success of the Ascend Dining Room.
2. Represents the company in a professional and exemplary manner and promotes the success of the restaurant to guests, staff and any other parties.
3. Oversees the server assistants and ensures they are engaging guests in a manner congruent with brand standards.
4. Maintains a clean and safe work environment and upholds and enforces the standards of the Washington State Department of Health.
5. Interacts with guests in a manner that makes them feel comfortable and welcome.
6. Communicates with Captain nightly any complements or concerns overheard during the performance of one’s duties.
7. Trains employees on their positions in accordance with company standards.
8. Works to minimize costs, maximize guest perceptions, and maximize profitability for the ownership group.
9. Expert level knowledge of the Revel POS system is required.
10. Must possess an advanced knowledge of the food and beverage offerings including ingredients, allergens, dietary limitations, and the restaurant concepts overviews.
11. Have the ability to guide and educate your guest on Ascend style of dining.
12. Performs any and all other duties as assigned by the company, its owners, management partners, or supervisors.
EQUIPMENT AND MACHINES USED
Industrial grade kitchenware, restaurant equipment, dishwashers, custom kitchen equipment, Aloha POS system, employee time clock, office and kitchen printers.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

1. Ability to communicate effectively in English with customers as well as all levels of employees in both verbal and written form in a professional manner.
2. The skills and abilities necessary for effective performance within this position are typically acquired through five (5) years as an assistant server.
3. Ability to reconcile both cash and credit transitions, maintain a cash bank and follow closing procedures.
4. Ability to manipulate the Aloha POS system and accurately input orders and post transactions.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
5. Ability to receive direction in a fast-paced environment; manage time effectively, and work well in a team environment.
6. Must present a well-groomed appearance.
7. Must possess excellent customer relations & communication skills.
8. Must possess at all times during employment a valid Washington State Department of Health card and any other government required cards.

The employee is frequently required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

1. Conduct and attend required training sessions and team meetings.
2. Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
3. Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the employee manual.
4. Report any/all illegal activity immediately.
