Grill/Appetizer/Fry/Prep/Pantry/Raw Bar

Salt Trader's Coastal Cooking is looking for culinary positions of all levels with an eye for details to help execute fresh, local and innovative food at our growing concept.

Our cooks need to be professionals, who have a passion for creating fresh-made from-scratch dishes, every day.  You might run the grill station, starter/fry station, appetizer station, prep food for the day, prepare fresh salads, shuck oysters, or prepare kettle soups. You will need to maintain a clean kitchen, have a keen eye for freshness, quality, execution and uphold our high standards of sanitation and safety.

 

Grill - The grill person cooks most of the meat, chicken and seafood. 

Pantry - The pantry person preps all salads and desserts. 

Prep - The prep cook preps all of the sauces and food items for the restaurant. 

Appetizer -The appetizer person cooks most of the appetizers

Fry- The fry person cooks all of the fried items on the menu

Raw Bar/Kettle StationThe Raw Bar person will be responsible for the creation of crudo plates, as well as shucking oysters and making our kettle soups. It is a highly visible position.

Job Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of kitchen experience in a high-volume restaurant
  • Flexible Schedule
  • Food Handler’s Certification
  • Knowledge of weights, measurements, volume and cooking procedures
