Experienced Hot Side Cook
Acclaimed downtown steakhouse has a position open for experienced hot side cook. Looking for a self-motivated cook who is able to handle high volume and excel in a demanding work environment. Candidates must have at least two years of similar experience in a high volume restaurant (300+ covers per shift) and verifiable references. Perform routine preparation and production duties following recipes, advanced knife skills and proper equipment operation/handling.
Must Have:
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Requires flexible availability – must be available for nights and weekends
- At least 2 years experience in a high volume restaurant
- Able to sustain high energy activities for extended periods of time, handle stress and remain cool under pressure
- Can work “on their feet” for extended periods of time
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Regular, reliable, predictable attendance required
- Related training and/or job experience that would enable applicant to demonstrate knowledge, skills and abilities to perform job
- Be able to take ownership of your work and willing to be held accountable for your actions
Pay: Average $23-30/hour with commissions ($20-25/hour base rate + 1.5% commission of gross sales).
