JOB DESCRIPTION
Urban Air is seeking a full-time/part-time Maintenance Technician! This role will be responsible for the maintenance and appearance of the Park. The Maintenance Technician will assist with facilitating the repair and maintenance of our building, attractions and any associated equipment. He/she will walk the Park on a frequent basis ensuring the Park grounds are free of debris and properly maintained. These duties will encompass cleaning, sweeping, mopping, removal of trash on the premises and cleaning the restrooms on a daily basis with periodic check on the areas as the day progresses. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Keep accurate documentation of repair and parts inventory
- Assist with repair of equipment, troubleshoot issues, and maintain the Attractions in superior working order
- Responsible for maintaining work area and back end in a neat and orderly manner
- Maintain supply of tools and machinery
- Read and interpret diagnostics from manual
- Maintain a safe work environment and assist Supervisor to ensure staff adheres to all safety rules
- Advise Supervisor on any problems and/or potential problems discovered during maintenance of Attractions
- Perform basic facility or maintenance repairs as directed by management
- Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly preventive maintenance on equipment and HVAC units as directed by management
- Keep up to date with the cleanliness of the Park by deep cleaning, painting, repairs, etc. as directed by management
- Maintain uniform standards and a professional appearance
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Ability to work various shifts and regular attendance is a requirement for the role
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or minimum of one (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Some knowledge of amusement equipment is preferred but not required
- Work flexibility (nights, weekends and holidays, as needed)
- Basic working knowledge of hand tools
- General knowledge of related OSHA regulations and safety practices
- Some skilled trades experience (HVAC, refrigeration, painting, carpentry, dry wall)
- Ability to operate powered equipment such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Work in noisy, fast paced environment with distracting conditions
- Move about facility and stand for long periods of time (over 2/3 of the time)
- This position is very active and requires standing, kneeling, bending, walking, reaching above shoulder, pushing and pulling
- Must be comfortable climbing on a ladder
- Requires lift, push, pull, or carry up to 300 lbs (70+ pounds with the assistance of a dolly)
- Ability to wear personal protective gear
While performing the duties of this job, the Maintenance Technician is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, climb, and use hands and fingers to operate various tools (i.e. drills, ladders, chemicals, etc.).
