This page contains basic employment information for employees.
• Status – The employee's employment status (e.g. Active, Terminated, etc.).
• Hire Date – The date on which the employee was hired.
• Type – The employment type of the employee. These choices are customizable, though, typically, this is used to indicate full or part time status.
• Rehire Date – The date on which the employee was re–hired.
• Pay Group – The pay group of the employee. This can be used when creating a new payroll batch to specify the group of employees that will be contained in the batch.
• Seniority Date – The date to which seniority should be adjusted.
• Term Date – The date on which the employee was terminated.
• Term Reason – The reason that the employee was terminated.
• Cost Centers – The system allows up to five levels of cost centers that can each have a customized name. Only those levels that are in use are shown, thus you will see between one and five choices in the drop down list on this page. Company-specific cost centers can be set up on the Company, Departments tab.
• Default Job Code – The default job code for this employee. When used, the employee's labor cost will be allocated to this job code by default.
• Position Code – The employee's position code. When a position code is selected, the Title, EEO class, Work Comp Code and OT Exempt status will be filled in automatically based on the company setup information associated with the selected position code.
• Title – The employee's title.
• Officer – Indicates if the employee is an officer of the company.
• EEO Class – The employee's EEO class.
• Work Comp Code – The employee's workers compensation code.
• Tipped – The method if, and by which, the employee is tipped.
• OT Exempt – Indicates if the employee is exempt from overtime.
• I9 Verified – Indicates if the employee's I9 documents have been verified.
• Reverify Date – The date on which the employee's I9 documents need to be reverified.
• Citizenship – The country of citizenship for the employee.
• Visa Type – The type of visa the employee is using for work authorization.
• Visa Expiration – The date on which the employee's visa will expire.
• Union – The union or negotiating unit of which the employee is a member.
• Union Date – The date the employee became a member of the union.
• Initiation Fees – Indicates whether or not the employee has paid his initiation fees.
• Union Dues – Indicates whether or not the employee has paid his union dues.
