Accrual Table

Overview

The accrual table defines the accrual rate for an employee based on the months of service.

Months of service for an employee is calculated using the LOS Date on the applicable employee Time Off record first.  If the LOS Date is blank, then the employee’s Hire Date is used in the calculation.  Months of service is calculated based on the check date that is being processed during which the accrual is calculated.

Fields

      >=Months – The minimum number of months of service that the employee must have worked before this line of the accrual table will be in effect.

Rate – The rate at which the accrual will accrue.  For hours-based accruals, this is the number of hours to accrue per hour of eligible work.  For dollars-based accruals, this is the number of dollars to accrue.  For frequency-based accruals, this is the number of hours the employee will accrue per frequency.

Balance Max – The maximum Available balance an employee can have for this accrual type.  Once reached, the accrual will stop accruing until the employee uses some accrual or the accrual clears and the balance drops below this maximum.

Total Max – The maximum Total Accrual (defined as Available plus Used) the employee can have for this accrual type.  Once reached, the accrual will not accrue again until after the next time the accrual is cleared.

C/O Max – The carry over maximum is the maximum amount that the system will carry over to the ‘Transfer To’ code when an accrual is clearing.
